The Community-Creators Sedona Mastermind Collaboration

Why

Creating large-scale ICs is a monumental challenge, especially in an area like Sedona, where there is no precedent for them, which adds the legal and political parts to the already challenging aspects of organizing people and working around human nature, most of which is unconscious.

By bringing an all-star type of mastermind group to live together in a 5-12 person community for 3-6 months and focus fully on the creation of not just a single IC, but an open-sourced model that can be easily replicated by others, we can synergize to create far more in a compressed time period while still living a flowing holistic lifestyle.

By embracing accountability and personal growth as a core tenant of our community we can help each other step fully into our leadership roles with less shadows to detract from our missions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower people to create thriving, sustainable and spiritual communities through turn-key models, templates and funding streams.

How

In the world of ICs there are very few people willing to grapple with the legal and business sides in a realistic yet ambitious manner, but this is the backbone of true long-term sustainability and ability to scale. We all understand that ecological sustainability is important and there are plenty of people who are specialists in this part so we incorporate this as an important facet of the community models but mainly focus on the business and logistical sides of permaculture.

The type of people we are calling in to be part of this mastermind community are entrepreneurs, leaders and attorneys, essentially people who understand that changing the game takes a tremendous amount of consistent effort, out of the box thinking, fascination, ambition, humility and the willingness to wear multiple hats.

Our intention is to live and breathe the mission on a daily basis while enjoying an abundant and holistic lifestyle, so we aren't sacrificing our wellbeing to push our dreams into reality. It's all about Flow, which means working smarter, instead of harder, so it feels like downstream effort. We strive to be the clearest conduits for channeling source energy and magnetize the right people to come into our vortex with our high-vibrational states with gratitude at the core.

One of our core beliefs is that it's not about what you know, it's all about who you know and how to create win-wins. We all have the ability to tap on our vast lines of connections to create even more and bridge those connections.

We can leverage our mastermind community project through the right kind of marketing, like on social media, to attract more awareness and funding, so we record our meetings and edit them slightly to make them more interesting and potent. The intention is to inspire others with our work and to create more of a web of connections.

Desired Outcomes

We've published our work in a format that feels easy for non-business people to follow to kickstart thriving communities with profitable business models backing them, allowing for affordable housing.

We have funding streams, either through donors, investors or businesses that we've launched through our org, so that we can continue living this abundant community lifestyle while earning enough of a salary, so we can focus fully on this mission.

The Sedona Ecovillage ("Sedona Healing Innovation Hub") is being actualized to where there is real groundwork/foundation being laid out for it.

We've formed a cohesive core team that desires to continue living this project and expand it to the next level, bringing in new members who are queued up.

Preliminary Steps

Form a legal entity in AZ, such as a spiritual nonprofit, and a bank account in order to start fundraising so we can have our basic needs met without having to continue working outside jobs so that all of our energy can be directed at this project. The main prereq is choosing the 3 directors to form the board, agreeing on a template for simple set of bylaws and having a registered/statutory agent or address in the state.

Ideally, we would apply for 501(c)(3) or 508 status with the IRS but this isn't necessary to get started and is actually retroactive applied. We should consult with an experienced attorney on this formation because we may actually want to incorporate in another state which has better precedents for spiritual nonprofits.

The most ideal circumstances would be to have someone with housing/land in the Sedona area donate it to us for this project to receive a tax-deduction and have people either willing to donate monetarily or provide generous-term loans so we aren't paying out of pocket to pull this mastermind community together since we are working to be in service of a greater good.

Draft community guidelines for values, how resources are managed and a simple budget.

TEDx for Community-Creation

The most ideal outcome of this mastermind group would be to host a convergence or an official TEDx or some variant of it towards the end of this experiment to present our findings in a cohesive and easily digestible format. Whitepapers and Wikis are nice but we want to grab and hold people's attention through our magnetism.

The Sedona Village-Scale Community Challenge

The City of Sedona and its two counties of Yavapai County and Coconino County have extremely restrictive zoning and building regulations, which is why there are currently no sizeable intentional-communities in that area. Most people aren't willing to invest the time in forming the relationships with the individuals who are the key-holders in the local governments and treat the system like one big organization trying to go the conventional route.

Essentially, this area is so challenging that if we can show how we overcame these obstacles and created a community there it should help empower others living in highly restrictive and oppressive areas to follow suit.

Leadership is a huge challenge in ICs due to idealism and people resenting the top-down models due to the abuse that occurs far too often but without strong leadership to steer the ship the IC drifts arounds being pulled in all sorts of directions by whoever happens to be taken the reigns at the moment. Our goal is to find a middle ground where people feel empowered to participate in governance but there is a clear leadership team and tiers for committees. We have to be realistic about human behavior, especially the 80/20 or 90/10 laws that most of the results are achieved by a few, so while everyone's opinion is valued, an individuals level of influence is based on their level of input.

Our Marketing Pitch - Sedona as a Healing-Innovation-Hub

The way we hope to win over the city and council members is by offering tax revenue generation and further increasing the marketing and hype surrounding Sedona by pushing the concept of a Sedona becoming known as the worldwide "Healing-Innovation-Hub" which will also bring in the amazing types of minds to elevate the city to new levels of wellbeing.

So we are attracting more high-end tourism and more innovative business minded people.

Community-Run Biz to Provide a Wide-Range of Employment Options

Village-Scale Community-Creation could start with working a highly-profitable multi-faceted biz together which provides a good practice ground for collaborating, a funding stream and exposure. We envision a community-based mega-org that is known for providing a huge range of home-services, from handyman to IT Services and everything in between, so whenever a client has a need they know they can turn to the org to consistently get great service. If we don't have anyone in our community which provides that service we outsource to someone in our network that embodies those values.

The trick is marketing/sales and leveraging getting your foot in the door with a household so when a new client utilizes one of our services their provider is accompanied by an experienced sales person who develops a good connection with the homeowners to figure out their desires and pain points to suggest other services that our org could provide.

The other trick is subscription models that make the services more affordable through payment plans so our clients are used to monthly expenses.

Greater-Community Gathering Place

Currently, there is nothing else even close to the vibe of ChocolaTree in Sedona, and there is huge momentum for the Greenhouse project. By creating a gathering place that provides a high-vibe, healing atmosphere and a range of products and services we can become a Mecca for the greater-community just like ChocolatTree is right now, since the conscious community is growing and we need more places to spread the load and open people's hearts and mind.

The key to making this financially abundant is innovating on simple services to provide exceptional-experiences, like for example offering high-end hair-cut/styling services which are done in private beautiful rooms with providers who are trained in coaching, cranio-sacral and diving in deep with people, so while clients are technically paying for a haircut they are actually receiving a unique healing session.

PMAs, Private Member Associations, is a legal route that we can take to circumnavigate some of the restrictions on providing services, gatherings and have consistent income from dues.
